Hi!
I'm Jess - the face behind Jess Can Eat and the previous host of the Ladies Go Local virtual ladies night events. I'm so glad you're here!
I started my food page as a way to show some love and support to local food businesses, especially during the early days of the pandemic.

I have always LOVED to eat (good food, and lots of it!) and people have always said, "that girl can eat!" Now, I eat my way around Ottawa (and hopefully the world one day) and share the delicious journey with my amazing online community.
Since becoming a content creator, I've made a ton of new friends, learned a lot, and have experienced the most amazing partnerships with brands like BabyBel Canada, Nourishh Canada, Centretown BIA, Sparks Street BIA, Chinatown BIA, and many more!

If you're a follower of Jess Can Eat, you already know my page is full of amazing food, fun giveaways, and lots of laughter. And if you're not, what are you waiting for?! Go ahead and hit that "Follow" button below.
SPECIAL APPEARANCES
What I love about having the Jess Can Eat page is that it has allowed me to experience more of what Ottawa has to offer! It's also given me additional opportunities to participate in fundraising events and community initiatives, which is very important to me.
CBC RADIO'S
PROJECT GIVE
On December 15, 2023, I was invited to be a guest on Alan Neal's 'All in a Day' segment, as part of their annual charity drive, Project Give. This all day event was hosted at the National Arts Centre and raised $281,565.42 for the Ottawa Food Bank. Growing up, my mom and I used the food bank many times and it meant the world to me to be a part of this!
SPARKS STREET
BIA
Ottawa Ribfest celebrated their 30th year in June 2023, and I was so honoured to be a guest judge! It was so fun (and delicious!) to taste some of the best rib recipes from ribbers all across North America!
11/10 would do again.
CARLINGWOOD SHOPPING CENTRE
On September 9, 2023, I spent the day walking the runway during Carlingwood Shopping Centre's fashion show. This was my first time modelling and I had so much fun! Not only did I get to wear some beautiful pieces by Ricki's and Vallance Couture, the event raised $1000 for CHEO!
"I love watching Jess's Instagram Lives and all her reels! They are all so fun and always put a smile on my face. I love her positive energy and how she supports great causes in our community!"
